Like Noah did IN-BETWEEN building the ark and veritably floating upon the flood: OBEY & BUSY yourself with good works that result from your salvation.
BELIEVE like Abraham did IN-BETWEEN awaiting God’s promise and presenting Isaac unto the Lord. He was commended by the Lord and did not waver but believed God and was strengthened in his faith.
BE FAITHFUL, HUMBLE YOURSELF like Joseph did IN-BETWEEN the extreme of slavery and imprisonment. By virtue of his God given gifts he was soon catapulted to second in command over all of Egypt.
LEARN FROM MISTAKES like Jonah did IN-BETWEEN the belly of the whale, preaching reluctantly to the Ninevites and learning from the Lord beneath a sweltering sun.
Like Moses did while trapped IN-BETWEEN the waves of the Red Sea and Pharaoh’s approaching army: STAND still and see the salvation of the Lord. God soon opened a path in the sea allowing Moses and the children of Israel to cross over on dry ground and in turn drowned Pharaoh’s army in its depths.
Like Elijah IN-BETWEEN great victories and vicious threats from his enemies: HAVE CONFIDENCE IN THE LORD, DON’T GIVE IN TO SELF-PITY. The Lord will lovingly in His good time work out all things concerning you, for your good, unto His glory.
Like Peter did while chained IN-BETWEEN two soldiers REST. No matter how severe your circumstances may be, the Lord will see you through.
Like Apostle Paul exhorted IN-BETWEEN beatings and imprisonment: REJOICE in the Lord always. Again I will say, REJOICE!

BELIEVE on the LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST who was crucified on Calvary’s Cross IN-BETWEEN two thieves. He died and on the third day was raised from the dead. He ascended into heaven where He now sits at the right Hand of the Father. And will come again to receive us who have believed unto Himself.
He will keep us forever IN-BETWEEN His Loving Arms

The nice guy doesn’t finish last, he finishes BLESSED!!

Blessed are the merciful for they will be shown mercy.
Matthew 5:7

Cease tiresome labor toward salvation dear one. Your work is to BELIEVE JESUS, whom God sent. Your labor is toward entering into HIS REST.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

Come away from the fray.
From all that assails your soul.
Quiet yourself in the Presence of the Lord.
Let Jesus rid you of all panic, misery, stress;
and let Him fill you
with His Peace,
with His Joy,
with His Holy Presence;
until you veritably overflow with His Holy Purpose!

Writing “Just One Touch” was such a blessing. It seems as though I was right there with that special Woman who reached out to touch the Hem of Jesus’  garment. The brief interaction she had with the Lord taught me volumes. Her actions taught me to push forward, no matter the pain, no matter the humiliation, no matter the criticism, no matter the trial, no matter… unto the Lord’s way. Unto the Lord’s purpose.
I’ve also learned during the writing of “Just One Touch” to  fix my eyes upon the Lord for in Him (and no other) is LIFE!

Like the Woman with the Issue of Blood we each have issues and like her if we push through to touch Jesus we will receive LIFE.

Let’s Discuss.
What has the Lord helped you to push through?
What are you pushing through?

When I was a young girl growing in

When I was a young girl growing in Denver, Colorado, I recall my father backing his old haggard pick-up truck out into the road early in the chilly morning. On his return that early spring, I stood upstairs staring out the window curiously at the contents heaped on the back of Daddy’s truck. A minute could not have passed before the nauseating smell of the trucks contents drifted upward. I gagged,… frowned and pinched my fingers tight to my nose.
FERTILIZER. MANURE. Cow manure to be exact, was what Daddy had so boldly/brazenly decided to fetch back to our house in the MIDDLE OF A CITY NEIGHBORHOOD. For the next two hours with the help of my not so happy brothers, Daddy spread the heaping stinking contents upon our grass still yellow from the winter’s snow. We instantly became the neighborhood pariahs. When people walked near our house they’d cross the street, giving us a wide berth, holding their nose in disgust. Others too would cuss or call out words of disdain or whisper to the other neighbors. It was surely not easy being me during that time. The humiliation was complete. (smile) But something interesting happened in the weeks following. The Fertilizer began to sink into the ground still moist with the winter snow and out from the soil depths IN EARLY SPRING-IN DENVER, COLORADO one could see the most beautiful green blades of grass emerging. As the days passed and grew a bit warmer, our grass personified – waved. It waved its green blades proudly. Surely it was as beautiful and as green as a golf course. While our neighbors grass still lay mostly yellow, ours lay shimmering, a joy to us and now to the whole neighborhood.
I share that story because I was deeply troubled about some circumstances in my life. As I knelt on my knees in prayer, I lamented to the Lord. I prayed and prayed and fussed at the Lord about how stinky this circumstance was in my life. Then I heard the Lord in His still quiet voice say
“Daughter, that is your FERTILIZER”.
Oh how I cried,  how the tears poured. For I remember vividly the sheer green of our early spring grass and knew that the Lord was wonderfully and meticulously doing the same for me.
Dear friend, are your circumstances unsavory/stinky. Take heart. Allow God to work in you. He is pleased by your steadfast faith. Soon and very soon you will see  your green grass emerge.
I will turn the desert into pools of water and the parched ground into springs. I will put in the desert the cedar and the acacia, the myrtle and the olive. I will set pines in the wasteland the fir and the cypress together, so that people may see and know, may consider and understand that the hand of the LORD has done this, that the HOLY ONE of Israel has created it. Isaiah 41:18-20
